EdAdvance is one of Connecticut’s six Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs) with the mission of providing high quality educational services and to promote the success of school districts and their communities in Western CT. COVID-19 disrupted Connecticut’s supply of childcare, especially for the families of frontline and essential workers, who often work long and/or non-traditional hours. Working with the state’s Office of Early Childhood (OEC), this project supported home-based childcare programs across Connecticut to stay open and provide safe, flexible-hour care for school-aged children.
