Celebrating 5 Years

5 years ago, 4-CT was born out of the emergent need to align philanthropic efforts and find new ways to tackle the health and economic disparities of Connecticut’s most vulnerable populations. With the support of Governor Ned Lamont, our initial programs focused on addressing gaps in the state and federal response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, federal funding uncertainty is impacting organizations that serve our most vulnerable. Cuts to services and potential changes to Medicaid are leading to new crises for families.

4-CT remains committed to empowering individuals by giving resources directly to people who need them most. As Governor Lamont noted in 2020, "4-CT will act as a vital tool to help provide much needed outside investment to keep our programs and services stable during this tenuous time.” We plan to do the same today.

When one person thrives, their success ripples outward, creating stronger communities throughout Connecticut. Thank you for joining us in this work.
