Statewide Mental Health Resources

Partner: Clifford Beers

Project Details

Clifford Beers provides provides ‘whole’-stic care, treating the whole person–physical, behavioral and social– as well as the circumstances and well-being of the whole family. Clifford Beers is one of the foremost mental health nonprofits in Connecticut for children and families. COVID-19 caused a significant mental health crisis, especially within disadvantaged communities who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic. In response, Clifford Beers set up a free emotional support helpline where trained call specialists could provide referrals to social services and partner nonprofits to address specific issues such as food insecurity, general financial insecurity, and substance abuse. With the support of 4-CT, Clifford Beers has been able to expand this supportline to reach callers statewide.
