Chris Severson

Chris Severson previously held the role of Head of People and Culture of Philip Morris International US and led PMI’s internal transformation to achieve a smoke-free future. Chris was also the Chief People Officer and Transformation Head at Digicel Group, a Jamaica based total communications and entertainment provider with operations in 32 markets throughout the Caribbean, Central America and Asia Pacific. Before this, he was Head of Strategy and Planning at Atlas Mara, a start-up sub-Saharan African banking group, responsible for a P&L >$200m and a Director in the Front Office of Barclays Investment Bank based in London. Chris began his career with the United States Marine Corps as a TOPGUN trained F/A-18 pilot.

Chris holds MBAs from both Columbia Business School (with honors) and London Business School, a Masters in Strategy from the Marine Corps University, a BS from Carnegie Mellon University, and is a graduate of the Navy Fighter Weapons School – TOPGUN.

Chris is an industry advisor to Armstrong Wolfe, a global financial services advisory firm, and their partners on strategic human capital issues. He has a passion for public speaking on leadership, conduct and behavior – all to encourage new thinking about leadership.
