Technology Education for Low-Income
Women in Fairfield County
Partner: Women’s Mentoring Network (WMN)
Project Details
The focus of the Women’s Mentoring Network for the past 30 years has always been to help women and their families move forward from unemployment and entry-level jobs to achieve economic empowerment and economic mobility. The foundational skills provided by the organization are crucial, especially during the COVID-19 crisis, which has amplified pre-existing inequities like the Digital Divide. This project funded a tech education program, in partnership with Microsoft, for at least 50 individuals, teaching them the skills necessary to thrive in the job market.
